| The
Parco dell'Adamello is located in the Rhaetian Alps, at the
center of the alpine chain, and includes all the lombardia
side of the Adamello Group. It's one of the largest Parks
in Italy, extending for about 51000 hectares. It was instituted
by the Lombardia Region in 1983 and is managed by the Valle
Camonica Association of Mountain Municipalities (Comunità
Montana), located at Breno.
From the Tonale Pass, proceeding south along the left riverside
of the Valley till Prestine, the protected area comprises
the following 19 towns:
